BeyondPartners is hosting aSaint Patrick’s Day Art Contest for artists with disabilities running from March 9th to March 31st. You can be located anywhere to participate! Although submissions are virtual, feel free to get creative using any medium of your choice; whether that be digital, watercolor, crayon, etc. Please upload your photo submissions through this form by the deadline: 11:59 P.M. March 31, 2025. No submissions will be taken past the deadline. 1st and 2nd place winners will be chosen from each age group (see down below). Monetary prize is provided.
Submission Information:
- PROMPT: “I’m lucky because…”
- TWO AGE GROUPS: Kindergarten-6th grade & 7th grade-12th grade.
- 1ST PLACE PRIZE: $50
- 2ND PLACE PRIZE: $25
- If winners are located within Virginia, they will also be invited to a complimentary group luncheon with BeyondPartners student executive officers. Our treat!
- Deadline: March 31st, 2025 at 11:59 P.M.
- Any size and medium of art is accepted.
- Artwork will be judged by the students on the BeyondPartners executive board.
- Winners will be announced by April 9th via participant’s email, our website, and Instagram.
Submission Guidelines:
- Artwork must be ORIGINAL from artists with disabilities, otherwise will be disqualified.
- Please ensure your digital file is of high resolution.
- Include a brief “Artist Statement” explaining your art and what you chose to depict (statements must be original from the artist but may be typed-out or assisted by parents)
- Teachers or parents may submit on behalf of artists.
- AI generated artwork is NOT accepted and will be disqualified.
- Each artist is limited to ONE submission only.
Selection Criteria: What will you be judged on?
- Alignment with prompt “I am lucky because…”
- Interpretation of the prompt “I am lucky because…”
- Creativity and originality
- Presentation
- Artistic merit (not as highly judged as other categories)

K-6th Grade First Place Winner “I drew Patrick Star because a lot of kids love Spongebob and Patrick. It was also just St. Patrick’s Day and it made me think of Patrick. I am lucky to be able to draw and have a loving family. They are the best.”
K-6th Grade Second Place Winner “I am lucky because Lucy and Olive are our dogs, and Stella is my best friend.”
7-12th Grade First Place Winner “I think I’m lucky people I’m able to create my own characters and express myself through art and story telling. This drawing is of an original character of mine catching her pet mouse sleeping in a giant clover.”
7-12th Grade Second Place Winner “I am lucky because I have a family that loves me.”
